President of Emirates Nursing Association , Director of Nursing Department in Emirates Health Services, Leading the National Nursing & Midwifery Strategy in the UAE and Honorary associate professor at MBRU. Leading the taskforce committee for Cabinet Initiative (Attractiveness of Nursing Profession). Dr. Sumaya is an Awardee of Emirates Pride Medal for Mohammed Bin Rashid Government 2017; Community serving Medal 2020; Best Government Communication Campaign in promoting nursing profession (2018). “Pioneer Nurse” at the Global Health Pioneer Awards. Inducted in 2022 as fellow of American Academy of Nursing.
